Becoming a Writer

Once you’ve been a speaker for long enough you may decide that you need to move on from becoming a speaker and share your thoughts invoice with the masses. But you also may be wondering how you can do the transition from speaking to people to becoming a novelist or a best-selling nonfiction writer. And you should you should be able to share your insight and your wisdom.

But now you may be wondering how you can go from becoming a speaker and putting your words into current.

Step One

My first suggestion on transitioning from speaking to writing is to learn the right and craft. Find books that will educate you about writing styles writing technique improper grammar. One really good when a shrunken whites elements of style. While it may be a book that people Scott fat at school, it has the most important grammar that you will need in order to write a book. I’m not saying that you have to be the best writer in the entire world in order to be a successful writer, but you have to be able to express yourself in a way that people can read it.

Even the greatest editors of the world can’t edit garbage.

Step Two

Once you’ve mastered some really basic techniques on writing styles, which you may have even learned in school but everyone needs to brush up on, you only need to be able to formulate your ideas and a cohesive manner. The easiest way to do this is to form an outline. If you’ve been a rockstar inspirational speech or for students for quite a while, you should have some kind of PowerPoint presentation or some kind of outline that you follow even if it isn’t written down when you address the students and to perform a speech.

It may be easiest just to use the outline that you’ve been using for your speeches as the outline for your book or even if you just want to be a blog writer use it as an outline for that. You’ll have your introduction you’re about yourself page or chapter in your book. You’ll have the background of why you were speaker and how you got into what you’re speaking about.

Becoming-a-WriterStep Three

When you decide that you want to sit down and write make sure that you were in a quiet location with this few distractions as possible. Some writers find the coffee shops are the easiest place to do this, because they do not commonly have television sets and there usually quiet environment her to the lake to drink their coffee and read our quietly socialize. Another location would be a library. Or even if you’re trying to write when this in the summertime you could do it in a park or somewhere outside that is nice and quiet. Of course easy’s place would be to do it at your own home, but you have to make sure that you were away from the usual distractions of your electronics. Do not turn on the TV do not turn on social media, and if you have children, I would be ideal to get your writing done when they are otherwise occupied or sleeping.

Some good tools to have when you start writing would be the method that you want to write. People find out laptops or regular tower computers, are the easiest to type on of course. Some people do you like to stick with the traditional paper and pen method, but you are going to have to transcribe that onto computer in order submit it so that it can be published and be formed into a regular book. So I would really recommend that you start a rating on a computer first and not have to transcribe it from paper onto a computer later.

Do remember that everyone has their own voice and writing and how you rate is not necessarily going to be the same as how anyone else is going to write. We still need to be able to communicate effectively and do it so that other people will be able to understand you, but use your own voice. While it is tempting to try to emulate others, you have to be able to stay true to yourself as well or it may not wind up making sense or come out of smoothly as it would otherwise.

I’ve been a motivational speaker for so many years. Probably going on 20 at this point, but I’m not really keeping track. I first got into it after I had completed drug rehab dilatation program and went on to get my PhD in social sciences including an emphasis in childhood development.
